Lactation Consultation
Private postpartum home or office visit with a comprehensive examination of infant's suck and mother's breasts to solve breastfeeding problems or to facilitate breastfeeding in special situations. Written care plan and telephone follow-up are included.

Breastfeeding Check-up
When no specific problem exists, such as sore nipples or poor infant weight gain, a Breastfeeding Check-up is available to review common questions regarding infant care and boosting confidence in breastfeeding behaviors.

- Weekday mornings and afternoon at the Malvern office (no home visits)

Fee: $100 office visit.

Telephone Lactation Consultation
When no specific problem exists, such as sore nipples or poor infant weight gain, telephone consultations are available to review common questions regarding infant care and breastfeeding.
- Referral to local volunteer group free of charge
- Should an actual consult be needed there is no phone charge
- Follow-up phone calls after a consultation are free
Fee: $15 per every 10 minutes of phone time.

Postnatal Breastfeeding
Small group session to review the basics of breastfeeding with your baby in your arms. Includes positioning, latch and common concerns with time for question and answers. If you have a specific problem like damaged nipples or poor infant weight gain we recommend a private lactation consultation.

Infant Massage
Learn the art of infant massage with your baby in this four class series. Massaging your baby improves growth, eases gas pains and enhances your ability to understand and communicate with your baby. Massage promotes infant brain development and muscle tone and promotes better sleep habits. Each class also includes playtime, questions and discussion on various topics for new parents and free weight checks.

Returning to Work and Breastfeeding
Learn about pumps and pumping techniques to suit your schedule. Review safe milk storage guidelines. Receive personalized information to suit your work situation. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

Starting Solids
Offered every other month, learn how to tell when your baby is ready for solid food and which foods to start first. Instruction in recognizing and avoiding allergenic foods as well as baby food preparation. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

Baby Sign Language
Parent Workshop based on American Sign Language. Improve communication and reduce temper tantrums! Encourage early verbal skills too. Parents can learn and begin using these techniques with their children as early as 6mo - 2 yrs (and older).
